In this Photoshop tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a dreamy matte wedding look that enhances skin tones, softens highlights, and adds a subtle vintage feel—perfect for capturing the emotional tone of a wedding day. With just a few simple adjustments, you'll be able to transform any wedding photo into a beautifully polished image that feels both modern and timeless.
But before we begin, and if you want to follow this tutorial exactly as described, please download the following free image from Pexels: Download.
Open your image in Photoshop.
Go to Filter > Camera Raw Filter.
Expand the "Light" tab and apply the following settings.
Now expand the "Color" tab and set the "Vibrance" to +10.
Next, expand the "Effects" tab and set the "Clarity" to -10.
Expand the "Curve" tab and be sure to have the "Point Curve" selected.
Add 3 new anchor points by clicking anywhere inside the curve graph.
Set each of the control points on the curve to the following values:
Expand the "Color Mixer" tab and apply the following settings.
Expand the "Color Grading" tab, select the "Shadows" and apply the following settings.
Finally, select the "Highlights", apply the following settings and click OK in the Camera Raw window.
