MediaLoot Simple Extended License

By subscribing to MediaLoot, purchasing an individual resource ("item" or "file"), or downloading a free resource you are being granted a license to use these files for specific uses under certain conditions. Ownership remains with MediaLoot, and you are required to abide by the following licensing terms.

If you have paid for this download, either as an individual item or as part of a MediaLoot Subscription, then you are bound by the paid license agreement. The paid license grants you an exclusive and non-transferrable right to use and incorporate these files in your personal or commercial projects under the following conditions:

Single Use Applications

A single use application is when you are using our resources to design something for yourself or one other person/company. Any item that will be distributed or sold to multiple people is NOT a single use application. For example: designing a site for a client is a single-use application whereas designing a theme for multiple people is a multi-use application (see below).

  1. No attribution is required.
  2. The final product MAY NOT be distributed, sold more than once, or used by multiple people. If the product is distributed or used multiple times, please follow multi-use guidelines below.

Multiple Use Applications (Extended License)

Most paid items from MediaLoot come with our extended (multiple-use) license. A multiple-use application is when you intend the final product to be distributed, sold, or used by multiple people/companies. This includes applications, themes, web services, or other items that will be re-sold or used by more than one person or company.

  1. No attribution is required, but it is highly recommended =D
  2. You MAY NOT resell or redistribute our items by themselves: they must be a part of a larger product or application that is sold on its own merits. Any MediaLoot items that are included must be a small part of the greater whole.
  3. You MAY NOT include more than 30% of a single resource in any multi-use item. For example, if you are selling an app that uses MediaLoot icons, you may not include more than 30 icons out of a set of 100 icons.
  4. Complete themes, website templates, and print items ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for multi-use applications (you MAY NOT resell or redistribute these items). Items that are eligible for multi-use applications include User Interface Kits, Web Elements, Icon Kits, Textures, Vector Files, and Brushes.
  5. You MAY NOT include any of the original source files in the item for resale or redistribution. For example, you may not include the PSD from a user interface kit in an application that was created using that kit. You may not include MediaLoot source files in any usage application.

If you have downloaded this file without paying for an individual item or a MediaLoot subscription, you are governed by the free license. The free license grants you the exclusive right to use and incorporate these files in your personal or commercial projects under the following conditions:

  1. All uses of these free items must contain an attribution link back to or the specific download page of this resource.
  2. You may use this resource or adaptations of this resource in commercial or other projects for single-application or multi-use applications, however if the application is multi-use (i.e. a commercial app or theme) then the attribution must be clearly visible on all pages or areas where the resource is used.
  3. You MAY NOT distribute or resell this resource, or its derivatives, and you may not upload this resource to other websites. All sharing of this resource must be done using a link to the MediaLoot download page.

I’ve downloaded a freebie and want to use it. How do I need to provide attribution?

Attribution for free resources must be provided in conjunction any time the freebie is used. For example: on a website, you must provide a link back to or the freebie's item page on every page that the freebie appears. If you don't want to provide attribution, you can purchase a premium version of the free resource.

What if I don’t want to upgrade my account to get unlimited downloads?

We certainly understand if you want to stick with your current membership plan: just continue using Medialoot as you have been. You’ll still be able to monitor the number of downloads you have left per month via your Account Dashboard. You can upgrade to an Unlimited account at any time.

Can I sign up for just one month or one year?

You can become a Medialoot member for any duration of time, but it will be up to you to cancel your membership when you want it to be terminated. All of our new plans are only offered as recurring subscriptions, but can be cancelled any time. We’d be sad to see you go, especially now that we are offering unlimited downloads.

Why are you providing such a good deal with the new membership plans?

In the past, we know some members felt restricted by only having a certain number of downloads per month. We’ve taken a look at some of our favorite subscription services outside of Medialoot and we want to provide the same level of unlimited access that we’re all used to, especially to amazing members like you!
