In this pack, you will find more than 100 Fantasy Map Elements in vector format and 12 Graphic Styles for Illustrator to easily create your own fantasy maps suitable to be used on your print or digital designs. A perfect set to make an unlimited number of maps for your RPG games, to use them as a background on your designs or even to print and hang on the wall.

Your download includes an .AI file with a wide range of elements like Mountains, Hills, Grounds, Grass, Water, Icons, Landmarks, Trees, Rocks, Flags and more and another .AI file with a set of 12 Graphic Styles to be used to create and give style to Lands, Water, Rivers, Location Names, Territory Limits, Trails and a Map Frame. Simply draw your territory shape and pick any of the Lands or Water styles in the Graphic Styles panel to apply it to your shape, then pick all the elements you want on your map and place them exactly where you want, combine, copy and flip as many elements as you wish to create a mountain range, deserts, forests, etc.

How to install graphic styles:

  1. Open Illustrator and create a new file.
  2. Go to Window > Graphic Styles.
  3. In the Graphic Styles Panel click on the top right icon and from the dropdown menu select: Open Graphic Style Library > Other Library.
  4. Locate the "Fantasy Map Graphic Styles Library.ai" file and click on Load.

How to use the graphic styles:

  1. Select your vector artwork.
  2. Click on any of the 12 Fantasy Map Styles located in the Graphic Styles Panel.

How to make Rivers, Trails and Territory Limits:

  1. Draw a open path with the Brush or Pen Tool.
  2. Click on any of the "Rivers, Trail or Limits" Styles located in the Graphic Styles Panel.

How to Change Global Colors:

  1. Open the "Fantasy Maps Styles And Elements.ai" file in Illustrator.
  2. Go to Window > Swatches.
  3. Double click on any of the Global Colors.
  4. Pick any color you like in the Swatch Options window and click OK.

Note:For a better end result be sure to have the "Scale Strokes & Effects" option disabled in the Edit > Preferences > General tab.
