Make a Realistic Cheese Text Effect Using Illustrator and Firefly

Text Effects

Creating eye-catching text effects has never been easier, thanks to AI and its diverse applications. Numerous AI tools are continually being improved to enhance these types of effects, but today we’ll focus on Firefly due to its seamless integration with Adobe apps, and I’ll guide you through crafting a fun and realistic cheese-inspired text effect using Adobe Illustrator and Firefly. This process is straightforward and quick, making it perfect even for beginners and you can apply this effect to a variety of creative projects, such as playful branding, children’s book illustrations, food-themed designs, or unique event invitations.

Step 1

Open Illustrator and create a new file at any size you want. In this case, I will make mine 1280 x 1280 px.

Step 2

Select the Type Tool (T) and type your text using any font colored black. Here, I will simply type "M" using the Jumble font so you can better see the effect.

Step 3

Select the Ellipse Tool (L) and draw some circles (filled with white and no stroke) over the letter where you want the cheese holes to appear.

Step 4

Once finished, go to File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy).

Step 5

In the Save for Web window, apply the following settings and click OK (remember where you saved your file).

Step 6

Go to Firefly. In the "Prompt" field, type "piece of cheese with big holes, wooden background" and click the Generate button.

Step 7

Mouse over the generated image you like the most, click the Edit icon, and from the dropdown list, select Use as Style Reference.

Step 8

Expand the General Settings tab and under Aspect Ratio, select the one you want. In this case, I will choose Landscape (4:3).

Step 9

Next, expand the Style tab and apply the following settings.

Step 10

Expand the Composition tab and click the Upload Image button. Locate the saved file from Illustrator on your computer and click Open.

Step 11

Drag the Strength slider to the right and click the Generate button at the bottom right corner.

Step 12

Now you can mouse over the generated image you like the most and click the Upscale button.

Step 13

Lastly, mouse over the image again and click the Download icon to save the generated image to your computer.
