In this pack you will find 12 Retro Layer Styles for Photoshop that you can use over any text, raster or vector shapes. With a single click you can easily transform a flat text or shape layer into a retro looking one to enhance your designs. These layer styles are just perfect to be used on headlines, logos or small portions of your design and they will only require one single layer to achieve a perfect end result. If you are a regular Photoshop user you can easily edit all the colors in the layer style panel and also scale the styles to use them on smaller or bigger texts.

How to install

  1. Open Photoshop and go to Edit > Presets > Preset Manager.
  2. Choose 'Styles' from the dropdown menu and click on 'Load'.
  3. Locate the 'Medialoot Retro Styles.asl' file and click OK.
  4. Click 'Done' on the Preset Manager window.

How to use

  1. In your Photoshop file, select the layer you want to apply the style to.
  2. In the Styles Panel (Window > Styles) click over any of the 12 Retro Styles to apply the choosen style to that layer.

How to scale the styles

  1. Select the layer with the style applied on the Layers Panel.
  2. Right click over the "fx" icon and from the dropdown menu select "Scale Effects".
  3. Set any scale you want and click OK.

Note: To get the best results start with a text size of 350 pt and if needed scale the text and the style to the same percentage.
