Modern Noir Photoshop Action

The Modern Noir Photoshop Action was designed to give any of your pictures a bold, cinematic noir look with 15 different preset effects while keeping your original image intact—all with just one click. Simply open your image, select the Modern Noir action, and hit play. The action works with any image size and resolution, delivering a professional, high-contrast result instantly. Once the action completes, you can choose from 15 different effects, adjust the layer opacity of each one, and even combine multiple effects to create a unique look tailored to your vision.

Additionally, the action sets up a layer group where you can fine-tune blacks, neutrals, whites, shadows, and highlights, as well as adjust the contrast to achieve the perfect noir aesthetic for your image.

How to install

1. Open Photoshop.
2. In the Actions Panel click on the top right icon and from the dropdown menu select "Load Actions".
3. Locate the "Medialoot - Modern Noir.atn" file on your computer and click on Load.

How to use

1. Open your image. Be sure that is set as the background (if not, go to Layer > New > Background from Layer).
2. In the Actions Panel expand the "Medialoot - Modern Noir" action container.
3. Select the "Modern Noir" action and click on the play button.

Note: Before using this action, be sure that you have the Camera Raw Filter installed. To do this, open Photoshop and under the Filter menu be sure that "Camera Raw Filter" is present.
