Cloudy Sky Photo Overlays

These overlays can be used to add detailed, cloudy skies to photos. This is a great way add atmosphere to images and sometimes give them a completely different feeling to the original photo. Included are 10 unique cloudy sky overlays at 18 Megapixels resolution.

Please note that some masking is required to use these overlays, we recommend intermediate level Photoshop experience.

How to use

1. Open your photo in Photoshop (recommended size: 5200 × 3467 px)
2. Place one of the overlays on a new layer above your photo
3. If your original image has white skies set the blend mode of the overlay to 'Multiply' otherwise leave as 'Normal'
4. Using your preferred masking method (Brush, Pen or Select and Mask tool) proceed to mask areas where you do not want the clouds to appear
5. Tip: if you put the mask on a group layer, you can easily switch different overlays in and out of the mask.
