Almost. I like it, but I don’t love it. A working contact form (instead of a mailto:) would make a big difference. Also, not sure if the popup/lightbox image viewer is limited by the size of the images you used, but seems a bit on the smallish side. Would also be nice if the caption on the images was actually below the image. If I am showing off a portfolio, I don’t want something covering up my work.

Good question from Britt - can you embed video where the images are?

Nice design, just missing a bit for me. Still great for the price ;-) I hope my feedback is helpful.

From it’s conception this theme was, and still is intended to be a simple, bare bones, single page website for designers, that requires minimal maintenance. It’s for this reason that it’s A. free and B. quite limited in it’s functionality.

Saying that though, updates are planned and amongst other improvements, they will include the ability to embed videos, and a contact form feature.

    Great suggestions thanks!

Hey, great theme Tony.  Thanks :)  I can’t seem to figure out how to change the header though.  Is it located in the CSS?

Hey Nate, in case you didn’t get my email - In order to change the logo, you’ll need to change the files within the theme itself via FTP. The logo file is located here: /wp-content/themes/solio/images/logo.png, so you should either write over that logo.png file or upload a new logo file and tweak the HTML so it points to the new file.

You did a nice job with this, Tony. It’s minimalist and simple, but that’s all some people will need.

I was wondering if you might happen to have the PSD file for the image layout? Would like to be able to use the PSD to mock up some things first before creating it.

    Thanks! It looks great!

Jherl and Ellis, you just need to create some “Portfolio Categories” and apply them to your posts in the same way you would normally tag posts. The Portfolio Categories can be created in the sidebar of any portfolio Add New Post page.

Scott, the .psd is included for our premium members.
