17 Formal Gothic and Grotesque Fonts

Fonts Oh So Grotesque

Grotesque fonts blend modern typeface with classic humanist fonts to create professional, formal lettering perfect for branding.

Do you ever wish you had a classic, yet contemporary font that you could use as a go-to for all your professional and formal needs? If your answer is yes (and we’re hoping it is yes or else this post won’t make sense), you need a grotesque font!

Contrary to their name, grotesque fonts aren’t ridiculous or contrary. Basically, these fonts are synonymous with sans serif. When looking for this category of fonts, you’ll want geometric, simple lettering and even strokes. Their overall evenness is why grotesque, or grotesk, fonts are perfect for headings and more formal projects.
