Official MediaLoot Launch Date (and another quick sneak peek)
We recently gave you guys a quick sneak peek of the MediaLoot website design and since then, we’ve been working very hard (and pulling a couple of all-nighters) on getting the site and all the features ready for the launch. In fact MediaLoot will open its doors very soon!
Drum roll…
Our official launch date is March 9th! The count down has started!
If you haven’t already, you might want to sign-up to our newsletter so you’ll be the first to know when we go live.
If you can’t tell, we’re really excited about the upcoming launch. I know a lot of you are too. Since we’re officially launching next week, we thought we could give you another sneak peek and show you some pages you haven’t seen yet.
Browse Resources
All the resources available on MediaLoot will be listed in this section. You’ll be able to browse by category, file type and of course by release date.
Single Items
This is my personal favorite page. It’s where you’ll actually see the bigger preview image, see who designed the resource (did we tell you we’re working with a bunch of really awesome designers?), the resolution, and it’s also where you’ll be able to download the file.
We’re all about conversations and getting feedback from our users - hey, we’re designers too, that’s why we’re building MediaLoot - and as you can see there’s a comment section on the single item pages. You’ll be able to let us know what you think and even tell us and other MediaLoot members where you used a particular item.
We’ll also have a special ‘vote’ page where you’ll be able to request new resources, improvements and give us feedback.
So, back to work and we’ll see you all on Tuesday! (mark your calendar)

@Mahmoud: Yep, that’s exactly it, it’ll be a paid membership site and we’ll have design resources members can download and use in their projects. As for the site design, we (me, Mason and Natalie) all worked on the site, but Mason did most of the page layouts

@Saad: actually no, it won’t be a marketplace where any designer can submit designs and resources, we (and designers we chose and hire personally) will be designing the resources. It’s a paid subscription site, not a marketplace.
Hi, look nice, but… If i pay the subsrciption, will I have direct access to all your resources ? can i download them, for example, the same day I pay, or ?.. i;m a bit confiussed.
@Diana: Good question. Yes you will have access to download everything we have in our catalog (and all future releases - multiple times a month) and you’ll be able to have access to the whole site only second after you join, it will all be automated (of course let me know if you have any question)

What will the usage licences look like?
For example, is everything in the toolbox going to be usable commercially?

The usage licenses will be pretty extensive, and we’ll be able to give you full license details on launch.
